Know Her Size · If you don't know - ask her. It’s better to get the size right rather than buying lingerie that is too small or too big. Either way you could insult her! · Have a look in her lingerie drawer. Find her most recent (don’t go off old lingerie as her size 12 months ago could be completely different to what it is now) and favourite lingerie and look in the back for the size. Both the number and letter ie 36C’. · Notice what colours she tends to go for; blacks, whites, pastels, vibrant colours? Colour – Have a look in her wardrobe. If the majority of her clothes are black, brown, grey – she’s probably not going to appreciate a white bra. If she hates black, and the majority of he clothes are light pastel colours, she probably wouldn’t appreciate a black bra. · Make a decision on the colour of the lingerie by looking at what colours she has in her wardrobe. · Most people tend to stick to the same colour clothes. If she has a wardrobe full of autumn colours ie greens, oranges, browns, creams etc you could go for brown, nude, cream, green lingerie. · If she likes pastel/pale colours go for white, nude (best colour for invisibility as doesn’t show up through outerwear), pale blue, pale pink anything floral, soft and delicate. · If she likes bright vibrant colours then go for something bright and vibrant, ie orange, lime, red, purple, yellow, cerise, pink. · If she likes dark colours go for dark red (if she wears red), black, grey, brown, navy. · Don’t automatically assume that she will want ‘red lingerie’ some women love ‘red lingerie’ some women don’t. It all depends on what colour clothes they wear. · If you loved one has just given birth and is a nursing mother, general rule of thumb is that you need to go up 2 back sizes and up 4 cup sizes ie if she was a 34D pre pregnancy, whilst nursing she would be a 36G. It is also advisable to wear a non-wired bra whilst breast-feeding. So it may be a good idea to either ask her first or opt for a bra that is for a special occasion if you are deciding on an underwired bra, so she hasn’t got to wear it all the time.
